Applelux Device Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy forms part of the Applelux Customer Terms and Conditions, and thus, terms defined in the Terms and Conditions carry the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit your statutory rights in any way.

At Applelux, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. This Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions applicable to the repair or replacement of your Applelux devices. We strive to ensure that your experience with our products is smooth and hassle-free.

1. General Warranty Terms

Applelux offers a comprehensive warranty period starting from the date of receipt of your device. The standard warranty period lasts for 12 months unless otherwise stated, during which you are entitled to after-sales service as described herein.

1.1. Brand New Devices

  1. Within the first 7 days after receipt of your Brand New Device, should you experience any issues related to the motherboard or encounter abnormal behavior on the device, you must report the issue in writing immediately to the Applelux store. Upon reporting, the device will be booked in for an assessment by our technicians to determine whether the issue is a factory defect or accidental damage.
  2. If the issue is confirmed to be a factory defect, you may choose between a replacement with the same model and specifications or an alternative device available in-store equivalent to the value of your purchase. Please note that replacements are only applicable for Brand New devices. For Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) or “Good as New” devices, we offer free repair services under warranty.
  3. The appearance of the device to be replaced must be free from wear and tear or any signs of accidental damage. Devices exhibiting any such damage will be eligible only for repair services and not replacement. All accessories and packaging must be returned in their original condition when seeking a replacement.

1.2. Devices Exceeding 7 Days from Receipt

  1. If a factory defect arises or non-human damage occurs after 7 days but within the warranty period, the device will be eligible for free repair services.
  2. Returns for refund are not offered in any circumstances. Beyond the 7-day period, Applelux will only provide repair services for faulty devices.
  3. After reporting an issue, the device will be booked for an assessment, which may take up to 7 working days to diagnose and address.

2. Exclusions from Warranty

The following conditions and types of damage are not covered under the Applelux warranty. Should any of these apply, the warranty will be considered void:

2.1. Tampering and Unauthorized Repairs

  • The warranty sticker on the motherboard has been tampered with, removed, or damaged.
  • The motherboard or any internal components have been repaired or modified by an unauthorized party.

2.2. Physical and Accidental Damage

  • Any damage caused by human actions, such as broken screens, water damage, burning, cracked screens, or other visible physical damage.
  • Damage resulting from impacts affecting device performance, including cracked screen guards, broken back glass, or dents.
  • Wear and tear from everyday use, such as scratches, worn buttons, or loose cables.

2.3. Specific Parts Exclusions

  • LCD displays, camera cables, and external accessories (such as chargers and headphones) are not covered by the warranty.

2.4. Damage from External Conditions

  • Damage caused by external forces, such as water ingress, exposure to extreme temperatures, power surges, or other environmental factors (force majeure).
  • Damage caused by overcharging, power instability, or improper use of third-party accessories.

3. After-Sales Service and Repair Policy

After the expiration of the 12-month warranty period, devices enter the Quality Maintenance Period. During this time, repairs will be offered at discounted rates. While devices are no longer covered under the free warranty, Applelux remains committed to providing ongoing support and repair services at a preferential price.

4. Special Terms for Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Devices

Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) devices sold by Applelux come with a 6-month limited warranty for repairs.

  1. These devices have undergone rigorous testing and meet the requirements of a fully functional device. However, being pre-owned, they may exhibit minor cosmetic imperfections, such as scratches, which are not covered by the warranty.
  2. For repairs within the 6-month warranty period, the warranty only covers factory defects and functional failures. Physical damage, water damage, and accidental damage are excluded from this coverage.
  3. Proof of purchase (POP) must be retained and presented for any warranty claims during the warranty period.

5. Good as New Devices

Applelux’s Good as New devices carry a 6 to 12-month limited warranty, depending on the product. These devices have been thoroughly tested, certified, and approved for resale by Applelux.

  1. The warranty covers factory defects and internal issues that may cause performance failure. However, cosmetic imperfections and wear are not covered under this warranty.
  2. Like CPO devices, warranty coverage excludes damages such as broken screens, water damage, or tampering by unauthorized parties.
  3. If a defect persists after repair, the device may be eligible for replacement, subject to assessment and confirmation. Replacements may take up to 60 working days to process.

6. Returns and Refund Policy

Applelux does not offer refunds under any circumstances. After the 7-day grace period for reporting factory defects, only repairs will be provided. There will be no replacements or refunds beyond this period.

For customers wishing to sell their device after the 7-day period, Applelux may assist in facilitating a resale of the device on the customer’s behalf. The resale price will be determined by the condition of the device and market demand.

7. Factory Defects and Persistent Issues

In the event that a factory defect continues after repair, Applelux may offer a replacement of the device. The replacement process may take up to 60 working days.
